A Michigan native Dr. Dena Khoury attended the University of Michigan to complete her undergraduate education, earning a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology and Psychology in 2004. She continued on to dental school, graduating from Indiana University with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2008. For two years Dr. Khoury practiced dentistry at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut completing a general residency program. During her residency she completed the course From TMJ to Smile Design focusing on the importance of occlusion in St. Petersberg, FL with the Dawson Academy. Dedicated to her education and the pursuit of knowledge she decided to pursue her passion for surgery and completed her Masters of Science in Periodontics at the University of Indiana in 2013. Her research during her training focused on the effects that nicotine has on biofilm formation of periodontal pathogens.

Dr. Khoury understands that skill and compassion go hand in hand when providing exceptional patient care. Her thirteen years of training has allowed her to treat patients comprehensively including focus on comprehensive periodontal treatment, implant therapy, bone augmentation, pain management and IV sedation. The importance of staying active in the dental community is apparent. She is involved with her local dental community as well as the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental and Periodontal Society as well as the American Academy of Periodontology. She achiever her board certification with the first year post completion of her residency.

As a doctor, she realizes that each of her patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust her and her dental team and strives to deliver the utmost care by staying up to date as to advancements in our every growing profession.

Dr. Khoury and her fiance are grateful to be in Michigan to allow her to spend time with her family and friends and most importantly their two dogs Mia and Charlie. When she has free time, Dr. Khoury loves working out, baking, and traveling.
